Founder and Producer
Dr. Delece Williams
She has a inner torch that continues to burn for finding ways
help save vulnerable and under privileged youth which caused
her work to be introduced to the Emmy Awards Organization
last year while attending a television conference. This helped
to put things in perspective for her as others began to see
the value of her hard work while she just works hard to help
others.
Kidz Korna Tv Show started out with homemade videos,
handmade props and quality content that gained viewers
attention for the cause of minimizing violence and abuse
amongst the youth. Given what she had to make the best of a situation, is what motivated
others to get involved. "People would no longer have excuses when they see what can be
accomplished if they really want to help make a difference, kids don't care much about what
you have or how much you know until they know how much you care" she states.
And because of this, she is now very instrumental in helping many other organizations around
the city of Chicago start a youth program in their community.
One of the most proudest
moments for the Kidz Korna youth was when they where honored by Jennifer Hudson's family
for helping to spearhead their first toy give away in memory of her late nephew, Julian King.
Being the Founder and President of this community and faith-based youth agency, her ability to
overcome adversity is definitely something that she needs due to the fact that plenty of times
she had to regroup from being a victim to the very thing that she fights against. She could
simply stop, give up and give in but what motivates her the most is the successful young people
who have been able to beat the odds through her program.
Oprah's Angel Network surprised Delece when they featured her work on community and
media services. Within one month over 7,000 families reached out to her for help and to date
the wait list is still growing, bringing our programs in demand on a much higher scale. And it is
her goal to accommodate as many clients as possible.
Delece was just nominated for the Red Cross and Lewis Hines Awards in New York with
her contribution in community impact. For the past 3 years, she has received honorable
mention for Violence Prevention at the Heroes in the Hood Awards Ceremony, 5 awards were
given to her from the Mahogany Heritage Foundation. V103's Hometown Hero Awards and
more.
Given the fact that Delece knows her life is not just about her. It's about what God is trusting
her to do with the life that she has, this keeps her humble. She's able to sit amongst the
most notables and serve the less fortunate all in the same day. Her ability to make lemonade
out of lemons from what she is dealt with puts her in a position to be a role model for many of
the young people she works with.
She too, came from struggling scenarios, being a single parent and growing up in various
undesirable parts of Chicago from the south side to the west of which she had to use wits and
determination to change the course of a her destination, driven not to be a product of negativity
coming from the jungle of street life in a big city.
It was her inner strength that allowed her to go beyond her situation and land on the work
place for success appearing in movies like Weird Science, Jo Jo Dancer with Richard Pryor,
Brewster's Place with Oprah Winfrey, Jungle Fever and etc. There is a list acting and modeling
credits including modeling for Relvon, that adds to her list of accomplishments while she uses
her knowledge in television to help change the direction of the many youth that she works with.
She received a Doctrine's Degree in Practical Counseling in Youth Services, a Bachelors
Degree in Theological Communication and An Associates degree in Liberal Arts from
Malcolm X College. She attended Columbia College for television production and is licensed
and certified in editing, producing and studio work at Can-Television and other studios. Delece
is also a licensed Cosmetologist of which her work in hair and make up design was featured in
hair magazines and now she displays her creativity for confidence in teenage girl's self-esteem.
From the early 90's, she was crowned Miss Mahogany, a beauty pageant for purpose,
displaying Leadership, Dignity and Grace to currently partnering with other community
organizations, like the Cook County Sheriff Department Community Outreach Program.
Holding true to the profession of her faith, she walks in the office of Evangelism for ministry
service whereas she serves at Christ Is First Productions and host a prayer line every morning,
Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 6:30 am. Anyone's welcomed to join in 1-424-203-8400
code is 125231, with additional training as a Teen/ Parent Facilitator from the Med Institute,
sponsored by World Vision. Last, but not least, Teen Transitional Outreach is a newly developed
organization that has just launched in Georgia of which she was asked to be the Vice-President.
